We offer our gps coordinates converter as app that you can install for free in the Play Store. The degrees minutes seconds to decimal degrees or DMS Converter is a tool to convert any address or coordinates to decimal degrees format and convert decimal degrees to the degrees minutes seconds format. There are two ways that you can use the coordinates converter to convert a coordinates to an actual address.Ĭoordinate Converter to Decimal converts latitude and longitude to decimal degrees and vice versa, coordinate converter to address and it is also able to convert decimal to degree minute second.ĭegrees Minutes Seconds to Decimal Degrees If you are not sure where you are currently at, you can use our longitude and latitude tool to find your current address and gps coordinates, and then use the gps coordinates converter tool to convert your current location. Latitude and Longitude will be shown in both the DMS format (degrees, minutes, seconds) and DD format (decimal degrees). The Geocoded address will show up on the map coordinates along with the address. Type in the address field above and click on the Get GPS Coordinates button. Reverse geocoded address will also show up on the map coordinates along with latlong.Īddress to Lat Long has the option convert address to lat long. Simply type the lat and long coordinate values and press Get Address or the Get GPS Coordinates button above. Type an address or latitude and longitude to start using our gps coordinate converter. The lat long converter can be used to locate an address, latitude and longitude on a map for navigation purposely or if your gps navigation system is giving you a lat long and you need to convert it to address. If you would like to convert a gps coordinates to an address, simply enter the coordinates in the DD or the DMS format, and the coordinates converter will return you the correct address. When you enter an address, the lat long converter will quickly convert your address to the corresponding gps coordinates. If you want to place the current location on a website, use the following link. Given that Locus already has all the conversion calculators built in and has some dialog boxes for entering coordinates in different formats, I'd (possibly optimistically) like to think that this wouldn't be too complicated to implement. If you need to share your location with someone, you can simply send them the following link. Ideally this would also allow the user to copy the alternative coordinate system format to the clipboard. In a point of interest / waypoint (geocache or whatever) long-press on the coordinates and get a menu to either (a) copy to the clipboard or (b) display temporarily in a different coordinate system.Go to the menu, select "Coordinate Converter" and a dialog box pops up allowing you to convert from any system to any other system.I would like to see this implemented in two ways:

I generally want the user interface to use degrees and decimal minutes, so it would be nice to leave it set in this format but still to be able to do a quick conversion from DMS to OSGB or (more often) just highlight some coordinates and get them displayed in another format. A work-around (which I use extremely regularly) is to create a point of interest in one unit system and then switch the user interface to display in a different one. However, if I have a coordinate, there's no direct way to convert between systems.

Locus Pro already has brilliant support for differen coordinate formats, like Lat/Lon decimal degrees, degrees, minutes and seconds or Ordnance Survey grid references.
